Diminutive billows of warm air streamed from two slits at the tip of a leopard seal’s muzzle as she breathed deeply. Her large heavy body rested against the sleek iceberg, as she rested. Her breathing was deep, hinting the fact that she was in a deep slumber. Oki’s belly rose and fell as she slept, her fore flippers twitching every now and then. Her speckled coat caused her to stand out like a sore thumb, but she didn’t care. She had no one to fear. That is, except the orcas. That was her only natural enemy, but besides that, she was the queen of the Antarctic. A sudden ripple in the water caused a soft vibration to run along the iceberg. In a single second, she was pulled from her sleep and her coal black eyes widened in shock. She whipped her round crown in all direction and tensed her blubber body.
After a moment, she relaxed, maybe it was just another seal. She cast a glance around, but saw nothing but water for miles. She was on a small floating iceberg in the middle of nowhere. She was alone. As usual. With a low grunt, she opened her jaws and pull back her lips in a loud yawn. With a flick of her head, she scooted forward, her pelvis rocking from side to side. She flexed her abdominal muscles and wriggled forward, swaying back and forth, closing to the edge of the iceberg. With a final thrust she rolled into the frigid water of the arctic. Her round muzzle broke the surface of the water and she slid in easily.
Once in the water, she was able to maneuver easily. However, since she was a “earless seal”, her back flippers were connected to her pelvis, so she can’t bring them underneath her body or even use them for walking. Instead she must wriggle and roll around on land. Once in the water, her sleek streamlined body can dart around easily. Ookani sealed her nose slits shut and plunged down into the water. Deeper, deeper, deeper she went. Hoping to find a bite to eat in the frigid ocean.

Percy was prowling across the open ice, snow powdering the layer. Breath dissolved into the frigged atmosphere in seconds as he allowed a long huff to roll of his tongue in large clouds of steam. Russet eyes skimming the area as he allowed his awkward gait to take control in a lazy limp. His left fore-leg barely bent and remaind quite stiff as he lifted it and placed it upon the ice, scooped claws etched gouges upon its surface. A splash hit his ears as he noticed a rather large pale tail lift out of the circle that was at a distance. It was pinkish in color and he identified a porpoise like creature from the sonic gurgle of noise that swarmed his ears.
Grunting as he scented a feathery friend of his, a slight hunger bubbled in the pit of his stomach as he allowed his lumbering gait lurch him off in a burst of speed. He reached 22 mph allowing eager pants to escape his jowls. Without hesitation his physique crashed upon the flawless glass surface of the ocean. He instantly dived, paws scooping the fluid to allow faster dives. He hurried because Percy was spotted, pupils fixed upon a large penguin that was confused as it dove toward the surface in its confusion. Percy reached out allowing his hooks to grip it enough so he could reach and grasp it with his crunching jowls. It sent a cloud of blood to swarm the waters around him.
Lazily traveling upward, his ebony nose poking the surface and allowing water to surge out of it in a spurt. He gathered great breaths to renew his lungs. Hauling his sulked body from the water's grasp Percy gave a shake to send the droplets flying. He took no time ripping into the penguins cavity and consuming the innards before going to its soft bones. Blood clung to his muzzle as he began to devourer the rest of his meal, bones and all. Lapping at his lips satisfied before staggering to his limbs and set out for another boring travel across the same cream land. A towering shape lumbered in the distance invisible by the snowy horizon. Nose tilted to the sky inhaling great gulps of air, a familiar scent traveled into the canals. It was seal. Ears flicked as he gazed in the direction, thin ice stretched far beyond his eyes then open water. Thick ice at the trim where a circle was carved in for seals to breath. Humming to himself, features still painted with blood as he prowled toward to hole and waited. Not for a meal, but to talk. It's been a while and he refused to not try, he wanted a friend even if he has to try and try and try. Percy did not want to be alone.... but he was a misfit.

The water rippled softly around the sleek body of the leopard seal as she continued to search the water. Her hind flippers swayed side to side, propelling her through the glacial water. Her speckled hide blurring from her speed and the steady jet stream of bubbles around her frame. Her lungs were beginning to yearn for fresh oxygen, and she wanted to lie atop the ice and rest for a moment. The colors of the water softened to a light shade of blue as she swam to the surface, and she could see the light blue sky overhead.
Once her round muzzle broke the surface of the water, she opened her nose slits and breathed the frosted air deeply. It filled her lungs and provided the rich oxygen she had desired. Ookani blinked her eyes and glanced around, searching for her little iceberg. A sudden sigh escaped her nose, causing miniature vapors of humid air to erupt into the frigid air. She must have been swimming longer than she thought, because she seemed to have covered a great distance. With a lash of her hind flippers, she turned her frame in a complete circle, glancing around the area.
Glistening white ice, lie in a great unbroken sheet in the horizon and she huffed once more before submerging her head back into the water. She pressed her flippers to her sides and moves her body in a fluid like pattern. Cutting through the water at an astonishing speed, she powered her way to the Endless Ice. Within minutes she spotted the large dark shape take place before her, and she frowned ever so slightly. Oki usually never traveled close to the Endless Ice, for fear of being rejected by another seal. However, today was different, she was going to go where she wanted. Without fear of rejecting. Without fear of anyone or anything. A thin stream of light filtered through the water and she swam up to it, knowing it was a seal breathing hole. Without checking for any dark shapes that would indict another creature, she just same up. Her nose poked through the hole, followed by her sleek crown and she blinked, frozen by the creature before her.

The giant sprawled himself across the ice for more comfortable position to peer into the crystal pool. Waiting... His desire for social contact with something drove him, watching as the sun shone dimly upon the shimmering surface of the water. Percy was in poor hunting posture, if he was hunting. If another bear noticed him they would probably suspect him of poor hunting, until they realize who he was. The polar bears found new intelligence and on occasions they'll meet up in a type of 'gathering' and talk with each other. That's how they would hear of how strange Percy was. It was a shame his mother spewed on how much of a disgrace he was, though he did look like her. Just staring into his reflection made him think of his mother, trailing his gaze over his left shoulder the distinct missing fur showed him he'll never fit in, with the bears at least. Sighing allowed billows to trail from his creased jaws and recoil from the water then swirl in the air.
The fur above his eyes knitted together as he gave uneasy glances around him, he felt like he was being watched. The guard-hairs along his shoulders began to prickle a bit before noticing a Arctic fox scurried like a rodent away from him. Lips tugging into a frown a he again day-dreamed of the fur seal, how she understood him and was so gentle and sweet. To how she nibbled his ear to the warm calming words she spoke to him. Percy's belly felt like it was filled with steamy sweet honey as he remembered his sweet Leela. Bitter cold then took control as her death flashed in his mind, the blood, his mother with she ate her. Letting out a choked growl as he placed large paws over his eyes, "Leela..." he muttered sadly before trying his hardest to dismiss the sadness. Snorting, more hot clouds surged from their channels and took flight into the air in rapid motions.
Hauling to his paws he took a gander at the sparkling pool of ocean planning to leave. Bubbles broke the surface and he stood on edge waiting to see what it was. His chocolate gaze met a speckled figure with dark charcoal orbs. She seemed frozen and a bit fearful. No! He will not let her be scared. Percy allowed his best smile to curl, features some and sweet. His bob tail wiggled a bit as if in a wag as he hurried to speak. " Er.... Hello! I'm... uhhh... Percy! Who are you?" his voice sounded a bit young as he spoke but it held sincere friendship. She looked different fro Leela, sooty with dark speckles but just as cute and gorgeous. Percy hoped he didn't scare her.

(( We are supposed to be doing small posts Percy. Remember, we don't want to scare anyone away. >.> ))
Ookani’s ebony eyes gazed up at the polar bear, not in fear, but in curiosity. It had not swung it’s massive paw out to scoop her from the water, nor had he made any attempt to snap her in his jaws. He was strange, and she was curious. His words only intensified her curiosity, he was making small talk? To him prey…? What a strange bear indeed. However, she felt safe, and in no harm so she tilted her head to the side and responded, “Umm….h-hello Percy….I’m umm Ookani.” Her voice was soft, and unsure.
She suddenly sealed her nose slits shut and disappeared beneath the water. Her hind flippers swaying from side to side quickly as she plunged herself deeper into the water. She suddenly threw her fore flippers in front of her, turning her around to face the surface of the water. She squinted her eyes, she could almost make out the ivory fur of the polar bear’s head still staring at the breathing hole she just disappeared from. With a low grunt she propelled herself forward, causing a jet stream of bubbles to shoot around her. Ookani burst from the breathing hole, and slip a few feet away.
“Whoo.” she breathed then craned her neck back to face Percy, “But, you can call me Oki.” She propped herself up on her fore flippers, and gazed at the small bear. She easily outweighed in by a few hundred pounds and she was clearly larger. Not be height, but in length. She wasn’t afraid he’d harm her, besides he seemed friendly, plus she could defend herself with her size. Oki blinked a few times then tilted her head once more, “Are you not hungry? Why make conversation with your food? Hasn’t your mother taught you better than that?” She was merely joking, but she was still curious.

Dim russet orbs stretched wide as he gawked at the seal, he rose his massive shoulders, one seemingly limp. Pivoting on his hind heel, Percy made sure to hide his scarred shoulder from her ebony eyes. His maw creased to speak but immediately after speaking with a soft voice, she dived into the churning waters. Lips tugged to allow a sudden frown but it was short lived. Instead of the silhouetted blob bursting away, it remained before surging from the water's icy grasp and landing upon the frigged ice. when she responded, Percy couldn't help but laugh, but his visage again contorted into sadness, "M-y..my," his voice wavered greatly before strengthening it, "My mother taught me very well, she's a great bear... she would never harm anything,"
Percy seemed lost as if he was only talking to himself before he was snapped back toward Oki, "I'm sor-- AHHH!" his yell morphed into a roar of sheer fear as his gaze saw Okani mauled with blood caked upon her but when he frantically blinked... she was normal. Wincing his scar began to throb greatly, his head ringing as he seemed to remember the vivid massacre of the fur-seal. Percy then ceased, everything drifted away as if it never happened. "Oh... I'm very sorry Oki, I tend to get bad...." he pondered for the words, "Night terrors that happen during the day. Lets not worry about me though, why is such a cute seal like you doing around her alone..." his voice drifted lightly but his gaze seemed to glimmer.
