Name: Kintora
(Translated as ‘Gold Tiger’)
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Female
Species: Kai Ken
Name of Pack/Pride/Clan/Flock/Group: Currently searching for a pack
Rank: N/A
Weight: 90 pounds
Height: Three feet at shoulder
Description: Like many Kai Kens, Kintora bore the traditional 'tiger stripes'. Breeders would identify Kintora as a brown Kai Ken in spite of her violet fur. Needless to say, Kintora has rather unusual coloration-though not unique enough to be considered a new pelt color for her breed. But that wasn't the most remarkable thing about her. Kintora has bright, yellow eyes-similar to that of a wolf (even though she has no wolf blood in her).

History:
In Kai, Yamanashi, a little Kai Ken pup was born in the springtime. She and her two brothers lived on a small farm that bordered the forest (which she and her siblings were forbidden to enter since the woodland was overrun by canine-eating boars). The pup was never given an official name by her master, so she went nameless for a while (her parents would occasionally call her ‘Girl’ as they would call their sons ‘Boy’). Her father eventually named her 'Kintora' for her odd, yellow eyes.
Six months after her birth, one of her brothers was caught stealing chickens from another farm and shot. Obsessed with revenge, the remaining brother went after the human that shot his brother and attacked him. The wounded human called Animal Control and the brother was eventually euthanized. To make matters worse, the farmer responsible for shooting the first brother advised the elderly farmer to have Kintora euthanized as well. Her father overheard this and decided that enough was enough. He took his daughter into the woods and left her in the care of a Tosa (a childhood friend of his). He promised his daughter that he would come back for her once the farmers had calmed down. Kintora waited and waited, but her father never returned. Eventually, she discovered her parents had been killed. Her mother was taken to the pound and destroyed. Enraged, her father acted out of anger and killed the farmer responsible for the murder of his family. Even though he managed to kill the farmer, the Kai Ken was eventually captured and suffered the same fate as his mate and son. Having heard this, Kintora realized that she could never trust humans again. She vowed to reject the life of a housepet forever.
So she continued to live in the wild, hunting boars and exploring the land. Her Tosa guardian eventually died of old age and Kintora grew tired of Yamanashi. She traveled the Ōu Mountains, but was captured by humans shortly after her arrival. Eventually, Kintora was shipped to another country and stranded. Having no friends, Kintora set off to find a pack and join it.
Where do you live? At the moment, Kintora is basically exploring the unfamiliar land she ended up in. She does wish to join a pack for the sake of finding a place to belong.
Family/Friends/Enemies? Kintora resents humans and acts cautious toward domesticated animals.
Personality:
Kintora is a bold and competent fighter. She tends to be paranoid when it comes to accepting strangers-especially 'former' domesticated animals (Kintora hates humans and their creations-which includes their pets). Other than that, Kintora has a decent heart and her intentions are good-most of the time. She has a bit of a mischievous streak and can be rather ruthless on the battlefield. She believes that retreating is an act of cowardice and will continue to fight-even if the odds are against her.
Sample Post:
Kintora planted her nostrils against the ground and inhaled the scent of a boar. Perfect. She had not eaten in days and hunger motivated one to do an excellent job. Kintora followed the trail until she heard shuffling noises. Head lifted up and the Kai Ken cautiously looked in the direction of the noise. The bushes adjacent to her shook violently and a male boar emerged from the thicket. Snarling, Kintora attacked. The boar screeched angrily and threw its tusk at the attacking dog. He manged to knock Kintora against a tree, momentarily stunning her. But the Kai Ken recovered quickly and latched onto the back of the pig's head. Squealing in pain, the boar desperately swung its head to and fro. But Kintora only tightened her grip and sunk her fangs in deeper. The boar's movements slowed and the pig finally collapsed in a bloody heap. Licking her lips, Kintora eagerly dug in and devoured most of the kill. Once she had eaten to her heart's content, Kintora turned from the fallen pig and left it to the crows.
"The boars in Yamanashi tasted better." Kintora commented to herself. "But these ones are easier to take down."
Still, Kintora did miss her old country and longed to return-in spite of the humans that ruined her life. Even if her parents were dead, Kintora still treasured her old home. She regretted wanting to explore that one day and knew that Yamanashi would never be seen again. That thought alone saddened her, but Kintora still wanted to make the best of her new home. Even if it wasn't Yamanashi.
