History:
Sköll was born to Samson (a Doberman sentinel) and Minnow (a wolf). Up until Sköll was six months old, Minnow raised him in the wild and taught him basic hunting methods. But things changed when a hunter shot Minnow. Unable to walk, Minnow could no longer care for her son and ordered Sköll to return to the man-village and seek his father, Samson. But her son refused to leave his mother and hunted for her. Sköll assumed that as long as he fed his mother-she would be alright. But the bullet became infected and Minnow soon perished, despite her son's efforts. Heartbroken, Sköll reluctantly went to the man-village and eventually found Samson.
Samson's master adopted Sköll and trained him as a guard dog. Months later, their master started drinking and developed a violent temper. He often took his anger out on Sköll-often beating the young dog until he passed out. Samson did nothing to protect his son, believing he was supposed to obey his master-regardless of his actions. Sköll began to resent his father and even called him a coward once. When Samson still refused to defend Sköll, the latter ran away and ended up in the wild. Determined to never let another human control him, Sköll vowed to follow his mother's paw-prints and become a wolf.
Where do you live? Eventually in a pack
Family/Friends/Enemies? Can be hostile to humans and various 'prey' animals.
Personality:
Sköll is rather militant (a trait he inherited from his father) when it comes to combat-related issues and often retaliates with violence. While he believes violence has its place, Sköll knows when to kill and when not to. He isn’t cruel, but he isn’t merciful either. When not in war-mode, Sköll could be lighthearted and cheerful when time permits. He can be a little headstrong at times and will stubbornly refuse assistance out of pride. Though loyal, Sköll will not hesitate to speak out if he believes something is wrong (unlike his father, who would just blindly follow orders). He also hates humans with a passion and refuses to believe any of them are good.
Sample Post:
Sköll sunk his teeth into the lamb, encouraging its blood to spill and its movements to cease. He heard barking in the distance and applied more pressure to the screaming lamb. When it finally died, Sköll dropped it and cautiously looked around. No humans in sight-but Sköll could smell their guns. Without wasting any more time, Sköll grabbed the fallen lamb by the neck and ran. Gunfire only encouraged Sköll to run faster. When the farm was a good mile behind him, Sköll finally stopped and panted loudly. Close one. Last time, there had been no gunfire-but Sköll had managed to take down a ram. The humans were obviously getting more vigilant and Sköll knew that it was no longer ‘safe’ to raid the farm.
He devoured his prize-not wasting one scrap of meat. Winter was brutal and most prey animals had gone into slumber. Thus, Sköll had to raid the humans-which was dangerous business. He knew many wolves had died in their attempts-but Sköll was desperate. Getting shot by the farmer's gun hurt a lot less than starvation.
