(OOC: Anyone is pretty much free to join on up here, since it's sort of an intro thread.)
Crumbling skyscrapers echoed the shadows of a bygone era. They still reached up towards the skies, glass windows shining brightly from the Sun's light. A pair of eyes blue as the sky above quietly watched and observed the buildings, trying to imagine what it had been like before the Earth's destruction.
A small breeze began to swirl the leaves off the silent streets, blowing lightly across the Akita's fur. Her fur was tinged with a dull, grassy shade of green, and had traces of stripes all over, like a dog of her breed should have.
Solaurea's blue eyes swiveled from the brightness of the skyscraper high above to the streets laying out before her. Without so much as a pawstep echoed by a few bits of gravel, the young alphess went on her way, far from home.

A rather tall canine strode through the streets. The glare of the sun gazing upon his golden brown, ebony, and white pelt. Circular ebony trimmed ears pivoted and flicked alert at the sounds. His auburn irises trailed down toward the sub-way opening, the howl of wind wisping through it making it roar. Damian smirked, the wind brought an rather interesting scents toward him, dog. So he wasn't alone on these streets, he allowed a deep cackle to slide from his powerful jaws as he ducked under the tunnel. Damian traveled over the steps, ducking under the arch and entered the tunnels. The canines scent was trapped from the wind underground which allowed him to follow under the paths. He hummed which echoed through the secret ways, another breeze soared into the channels and made it fiercely growl like a lion. Ivory tipped tail curled over his painted spine as he smirked wildly pondering on a introduction to the dog. It smelled quite feminine but he wasn't worried, if it was a pack he would be ready to protect himself, most packs these days are grouches.
Damon came upon an exit and hauled himself up the steps, his paws uttered low noises as he emerged from the darkness, the sun blinding him. Pupils were pin points as they adjusted, the color was a dim crimson while he scanned the area. Lifting his cranium, his nostrils flared consuming the scent and searching for a direction, as he neared he noticed it contained stale scents meaning she could of been with other dogs before. So a pack. He thought as he slowly neared towering skyscrapers, taking a minute he admired the heights and took note of exploring them later to see the entire ruins of the city. His gaze searched and fell upon a jade colored canine, "Odd.." Damian's voiced tinged with an accent as he muttered. Lips ebony lips pulled into a grin flashing his ivories at her. She was tall and appeared a regal posture. An alpha. She had faint stripes and lovely blue eyes. "Aye there!" he called to her. "What's a girl like you hangin' roun' here for?" he smirked approaching her. A deviant gleam in his eyes as Damon skimmed her frame to know her better. "Have a pack?" he asked.

The Akita's pointed ears perked up just a little more, as she heard a distinctive male voice call out to her. Curling her tail over onto her back, Solaurea turned to face the other canine. She had to admit that she had never seen one of his breed before...whatever he was.
Blue eyes settled onto his amber ones rather uneasily, as she watched him come closer to her, his gaze skimming her frame. But she knew she had to answer his question, if only for politeness. "I do have a pack. We used to occupy the northernmost part of Canada, until all this happened." Solaurea said, using her paw to gesture towards the crumbling city surrounding them. But she didn't feel like saying just why she was there. Then the question was brought into her mind.
Why was she there?
Was it to merely observe what creations the humans left behind? Or to scrounge around for a new home? Inwardly, she sighed. Being separated from her pack left Kauke in command...at least for the moment. Knowing the Iberian wolf well, Solaurea trusted Kauke to give her the position she held once she found them again. "And just who are you?" Solaurea asked.

Damian raised a brow as she curled her fluffy appendage neatly upon her spine. She was fixing her posture, this made him chuckle at her. "My, my, my. Someone's being a bit uneasy, are we?" he questioned. A mischievous gleam in the depths of his crimson pools. "Canada? I actually used to be from Africa," he grinned exposing large incisors. His large ears pivoted consuming multiple sounds. His jaws gaped allowing a large puff of air to escape the opening. "Woah, aren't we curious. Hmmm? I happen to be Damian, you can call me Damon or Dame," his voice was tinged with a deviant. His frame attempted to circle her and make her feel uncomfortable. "If you have a pack, why be alone?" he cackled.
His irises glinted again, his white tipped tail raising dangerously above his spine. Some would take that as a challenge but he was testing the her to see the reactions. How he loved to crawl under people's skins, especially the bitchy females, if she was one. "And you m'dear, wouldn't it have been polite to say your name before asking for mine?" lips pulled wide into a grin that said he had you, that he won something. His eyes narrowed slightly into a kind of sinister gleam. Sharp incisors exposed threateningly, all a fun test. A kind of game.

"A word such as uneasy doesn't exist in my vocabulary." Solaurea said, looking down at him the way she would at the younger pups in her pack. She knew the sort of canine he was; Gyros had been a perfect example of it, until she set him in his place, despite her size. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Damian." Solaurea said, rather stiffly. The African dog continued to circle her, perhaps in an attempt to make her even more uneasy. Her eyes swiveled around with his every movement, watching him closely.
"I'm alone because I was separated from my pack when this world fell into chaos. For all I know, they're probably trying to find me again." Solaurea said, sounding rather confident. Inwardly, however, she wasn't too sure. Maybe they really were trying to find her..or not. Her mind battled with if's and but's, as her expression remained neutral. She watched him cautiously as his tail rose above his spine, and he began to show his incisors. Solaurea's thoughts then switched again. Was this dog friendly at all?
However, something about the situation at paw caught her attention. The raised tail...that glint of the eyes. Her memory distinctly remembered a pair of icy blue eyes, belonging to a certain husky of her pack. The same one who had challenged her so long ago: Shatzi. Solaurea gave a small grin, and instead of tensing her muscles and lowering herself to the ground, the young Akita merely sat upon the asphalt of the broken street, sitting rather regally than choosing to attack. "Oh, that's right. How rude of me. I am Solaurea." she said.

He noticed her postures shifted, she watched him like a hawk. "I perhaps might like to see your pack, when you find it that is. I could assist you. I know this distorted land, try checking the forest?" the sun highlighted his lovely features. His auburn irises glowed beneath the blanket of onyx. Stilts gracefully traveling over the terrain in a elegant manner. "Well aren't you full of surprises, dearest" his accent rung as he watched her. He expected her to react in a violent manner. Noticing her reclining upon her haunches he shifted postures also lowering his plume appendage so it was elevated with his spine so it was neutral. "You are quite unique, dearest," he cackled.
He strode toward her sitting frame, in a rather to close for comfort distance he reclined upon his painted haunches to look at her. "I would love to keep you company, maybe even join your pack... I grow quite lonely," he said rather dramatic. His eyes sparked, "Wouldn't you love to travel with me? I know so much, you can trust a loner" he teased sticking his tongue toward her. She seemed rather boring though, even young she acted not as playful as he wanted. "C'mon dearest, show so fun" he rose his banner not in challenge but so it can wag in a fashion he picked up from living with the street dogs. His behavior strange for his species.
OOC: Don't you love his teasing manner? xD

Squeak stretched casually as he ventured forth from the park he called his territory. Experience had taught him that few, if any, humans would be about at this time of the day, and the husky had learned to make the most of it. Tail swaying gently behind him, the smaller-than-average canine took a few steps down the street, and then paused as unfamiliar scents reached his muzzle. They were canine, no doubts there, although even just from the smells he was picking up, Squeak was almost sure that they weren't part of Spike's pack. Maw twisting a little in puzzlement, the husky nonetheless stepped out into the street, azure orbs tracing over the other two animals. One was a breed he hadn't even seen before, but that paled in comparison to the site of the female of the two who - and Squeak had to forcibly keep himself from staring - had green fur.
Undetered despite how unusual both canines appeared, the husky paced forward a few steps, still surveying the unfamiliar dogs. "Bit far away from your home territories, aren't ya?"he spoke up, coming to a stop just short of either animal's reach should they prove to be hostile. His eyes continued to scan over the newcomers. "I've never seen either of you around here before, and I know these streets."

(OOC: I love it. XD) Unique. That was something she had never heard before. She had to smirk at that, as he continued to try and sweet-talk her. The young Akita stood up on her legs, and began pacing in the opposite direction as Damian. "My pack is made up of loners, misfits, and other packs. I'm sure the rest wouldn't have a problem accepting you into their ranks." Solaurea said, her tongue lolling out of her mouth as she spoke. "But I'm still going to have to keep an eye on you, out of curiosity." she said, a devious smirk returning to her face. Her tail remained curled over her back, although it seemed much more relaxed than before.
Squeak's sudden appearance gave her no chance to speak up again for the moment. She turned to the husky with a regal air, and allowed her gaze to meet the other's. "Far away? Yeah, I guess you could say that. He's from Africa, and I'm from Canada." Solaurea said, gesturing to Damien with her paw. She has to assume that the husky was a native of the area, since he said that he knew the place better than any other dog.
"I'm Solaurea." she said, with a bow of her head.
From a ways off, not too far from the trio, but not too close, trash cans rattled with a small motion, a plume of brown sticking out of the tops of them. The animal's identity was unknown in the alleyways, but to most dogs, she was the Scourge. And she wasn't too pleased about having her food sources taken from her by stupid canines, who had nothing better to do than to blindly follow a human's orders, no matter how intelligent they became. Paws as white as snow leapt away from the trashcans, carrying her next meal: a dead rat. Her identity formed itself into that of a lithe female cat. She paused, ears swiveling to catch the noise of others speaking. Two distinctive male voices, and a female. As she listened a little more, her ice blue eyes widened, still not allowing herself to believe what she was hearing.
Solaurea?
But was it really possible? Even though she harbored a severe hate for canines, she seemed to admire the young alpha. The Akita was a close ally of hers, and it had been quite a few years since the alpha's sudden disappearance. From what Sapphire knew, Solaurea's pack had presumed her lost...not quite dead. But time had passed, and she honestly didn't know if the Alberta pack shared that same view anymore. Allowing herself to step out into the open, she recognized the dog's telltale green fur. But instead of running straight to her old friend, she approached calmly and with a warning gaze to the other two males.

The distinctly different canine smirked at the alphess's words. "Quite regal aren't we, dearest?" he admired her calmness around him even when he was personally trying to piss her off. His cranium shot toward a rather tiny husky and mistakenly it a female at first before it spoke. "Well hello there" he cackled, "Yes she's correct, I am from Africa but I was taken here at a young age. I lived here all my life so it's quite strange you haven't met me. Or heard of me. Damian's the name" he added staring at the petite masculine with his crimson orbs. "Misfits..." he repeated the word she had said a while ago. That's what he was, he never fitted in. He could never fit in. The word fits his vocabulary quite well.
He subtle changed his posture so he was more erect and appeared higher ranked then the husky. "Who might you be?" he smiled seemed friendly. His smell seemed to have alerted him to a strange odor as he switched his gaze to the distinct scent of blood. He knew the cat was there before she revealed herself, she seemed to have killed some vermin. "Well G'day there little kitty," he said sweetly as he lowered his head a bit to match her height.
With a delightful chuckle he revealed his sharp shards before speaking again, "If you didn't hear the introductions, I'm Damian but you could pretty much call me anything similar to my name. What's a lovely feline's name like yourself?" he hummed complementing her noticing how edgy she was. "Rawr kitty, rawr!" he attempted a lion's roar as he notice the warning glance from her. "Pretty kitty so menacing," he teased adding a wag of his tail, he seemed more street dog then a African dog due to how long he lived here.

Sapphire's icy blue gaze locked onto Damian, her eyes narrowing dangerously. If there was anything she hated about canines, it was tricksters like this one. Her claws became visible, being twice the normal size that a cat should have. Putting one paw forward, she leaned menacingly towards the African dog.
"It wouldn't be wise for you to mess with me." Sapphire hissed, the fur on her back standing on end. "My name is Sapphire, but to canine scum like you, I'm known as the Scourge. I am the leader of a specialized clan of cats. We move much too fast for any other animal to see." Sapphire stated flatly. Before the dog could reply, the cat already appeared by Solaurea's side, moving with a quick, fluid motion.
"Sapphire? I didn't expect to see you here." Solaurea commented, looking down to the small cat. "Likewise. I never thought I would run into you." Sapphire said, with the smallest of smiles. It quickly fell to a scowl as she looked upon the other two dogs. "Who is the other one?" Sapphire asked, motioning to Squeak with her tail.

OOC: I probably shouldn't but I MUST post. x.x
Damian was laughing slightly until the feline turned fowl. He blinked quite confused at her attitude, his lips tugged slightly revealing a incisor. "In case you didn't notice. I was being nice to you, scum?! It's nice you underestimate animals or people you know little of," his voice was tinged with a slight demented tinge, a voice he rarely used because he rarely gets angry or irritated. "You know nothing about me cat, and before you think you're the fastest thing on this distorted planet. Think again," He wasn't going for insulting her, he was just letting her know he cared less about her comments. Damian just had to let her know something. One of his fierce nicknames were 'Demon'. It seemed his eyes were a blazing scarlet and seemed to have unusual reflexes that seemed deformed. Damon wasn't one to brag or spew his names around like some stupid cat that seemed she could take a grizzly.
This canine wasn't a bit speciest towards others besides lions but this cat irritated him slightly. Shrugging it off he gave Sol a smirk. "Dearest, you sure can pick your friends, eh?" he chuckled. "This cat sure is full of spirit," even after her insult he still seemed to compliment her showing her even more how much he didn't care. Dim crimson irises glowed slightly as he made sure to tower full height. Powerful jaws clenching and un-clenching as he grew bored of this area, he wanted to see Sol's pack but if he gets more comments like from that cat. He wouldn't know what to do. He recalled just messing with her in a humorous manner and she acted so violent, she even seemed to challenge him. Sighing his gaze briefly shifted over her as she blinked toward Sol. He barely caught the movements, one reason was because he wasn't paying attention. Show off... he thought absently.

Sköll passed by the human monuments with indifference. Humans were scum and he wanted nothing to do with them or their creations. Needless to say, Sköll wasn't too fond of his surroundings in spite of the condition. The area was seemingly abandoned-no scent of humans. What happened to their village-what could have possibly caused all this destruction? Most likely a force of nature-perhaps a hurricane or a tornado. In any case, it worked out well in the end. No humans meant no guns. And that was just how Sköll liked it.
Then a series of scents hit Sköll's nose like a ton of bricks. Dogs. Shortly after smelling their presences, the wolf-dog spotted the group not too far from where he was standing. Sköll had nothing to do with this congregation, but months of solitude encouraged the 'mutt' to make himself known. He cautiously approached the group and sat down. The dogs looked strange-one of them was green of all colors and a strange, spotted dog (or at least, Sköll assumed it was a dog) sported large, disk-like ears. Only the husky and the cat looked 'normal'. But Sköll was rather odd-looking himself and knew he was in no position to judge the others on appearance.
Taking note of the argument going on, Sköll remained silent.

Having been about to answer question of his identity before the other two canines decided that the cat was more interesting to them than he was, Squeak decided he felt a little unjustly ignored, although he determined not to bother making a fuss about that. The tip of his tail twitched irritably, however, as he shot a glance in the so-called Scourge's direction. What made a damn cat think she was so tough, anyway?
When the feline asked after his identity, Squeak straightened, although he still didn't quite match Damian's height. "The name's Squeak." he replied, facial features contorting into a glare that travelled across his new companions before any of them could respond. "And if you laugh at it, I'll flay you. Trust me on that."
After a moment, he let the glower drop again. "I've lived in this city all my life, too." he added, as though the claim gave him at least equal superiority to Damian. True, the first months hadn't been out on the streets, and even after that, he'd still just been a part of Spike's pack and hadn't been taking care of himself for all that long, but there was no need to give those present any more detail of his history.

Sapphire merely grinned and flexed her claws. "It's all a wonderful ruse...just you wait and see." she purred, eyes locked firmly onto Damian. Solaurea looked to the cat, knowing better than to warn her. In the long time that she had known the feline, the cat might as well have killed a grizzly bear all on her own, based on the many scuffles they had gotten into involving other dogs. "She is definitely full of spirit. It's why I accepted her and her clan into the ranks of my pack. Like I said, we're misfits. You all are welcome to join, but it's up to you." Solaurea said, taking notice of Squeak and Sköll. She swiped her tongue quickly across her muzzle, before shutting her jaws firmly.
As Squeak introduced himself, Sapphire couldn't help but smirk at the name, completely unafraid of the juvenile dog's threat. "I wonder..did the humans give you that name?" she asked. Shaking her head, she strode up to the three males in front of Solaurea. "This is why I find the canine breed amusing. Size makes you more powerful, doesn't it? A little ol' cat like me can't be capable of killing anything more than a mouse, right?" Sapphire asked, keeping a firm eye contact.
"Wrong. Do you see my claws here? They're not normal claws. Look at them closely, and you'll see that they're dog's teeth." Sapphire said, holding up an extended paw for Damien, Squeak, and Sköll to see. Her claws were indeed oversized, and thick, with traces of numerous bloodstains. "One for each dog I've killed, although I do rotate teeth. So in reality, I own quite the pile of teeth. I've killed dogs much bigger than the three of you put together." Sapphire said, her eyes flashing, as she swayed back to Solaurea's side. The Akita merely nodded a confirmation, knowing the Balinese mix's brutal history.

Scooter ran up as fast as his little paws could carry him. He had been trying to catch up with Squeak. "Hey Squeak.... Squeak I have been trying to catch up with you for ......" Scooter said not really being able to put on the brakes fast enough and accidenly bumps into Squeak. "So I was hoping that maybe me and you could...........ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh a cat" Scooter said running behind Squeak and hiding behind him for protection.
